28th February 2015 is Rare Disease day, a day aimed at raising awareness, and a day I feel very close to my heart. Every year, I try to post something about it on social media, but every passing year I feel like people, even those closer to me, care less about it, so this year I thought about doing something a little different, and with a bit more involvement. There are hundreds of rare diseases out there, and with each afflicting only a small percentage it is no wonder that they are often ignored and passed by. This is the journal entry of shame. I have been a part of DeviantArt for well over a year now, the truth is that I used it for a week or so and then forgot about it, until a couple of days ago. A couple of days ago, a friend reminded me that this is a good place to get inspiration, admire other people's art work (using this term loosely, what I do is not art), and show case your own, and was she right! So much amazing word to look at, so many ideas, so many people who are too damn good at what they do to be human! I think this time I might stick on DeviantArt a bit longer than a week. Welcome, to you, and to me. This is my first day on Deviant Art, and this is my first post: quite a big occasion I would say. I've been toying with the idea of getting on Deviant Art for a while now, but for some reason I've never really gone through with it, I've never felt like I had anything to show off...
